I really researched getting a new vanity for my bathroom remodel. The ones at the big box home improvement stores were either too cheaply made, poorly reviewed or not nice looking. I love the way this piece looks, but I was very disappointed in two things. The first is that the delivery was a fiasco, wound up having to meet the driver at a nearby mall parking lot because they had a tractor trailer that couldn't negotiate my road (I live on a two lane road which large buses negotiate all day long). But still at that point, I just met the driver to avoid hassle or delays to hold up my contractor.
The bigger disappointment was that when my contractor opened the box, there was a drawer component missing and it made it impossible to install the drawers until I received a replacement piece. You could even see the outline from where it had initially been glued, but at some point removed along the way. It was NOT in the box, so it happened before it was shipped. So much for quality control. Also, as soon as the box opened, one of the mirrored pieces fell off and shattered. We just worked around it and were thankful that it was the piece that was against the wall, because my contractor did this on his last day and I would have had to pay additionally if he had to come back after the replacement piece was obtained. But now we couldn't attach the piece if we wanted to because it's installed. That being said, the drawers aren't smooth operators either, even still.
I was willing to chalk this off to a bad decision on my part, but here we are several months later and yet another piece of glass was simply fallen off. Since I based my decision to buy this on reviews, you should all keep this in mind. This piece has had very light use and the drawer it fell off has been opened two dozen times since it was installed, if that. Chans was contacted after the initial fiascos, and though they quickly sent me the replacement drawer component they have never offered any sort of credit or other recourse for these problems.
