Within about 2 months one of the slats had cracked. All I did was sit down. If you look at the construction of each slat it's not solid wood. It's not glued layered wood either. It's a stick made up of about 1 x 1 inch pieces that have been "dovetailed' togheter to make 60 inches. This makes the slats weak. at each joined point it's like having a knot or sometihng. Thats where the wood broke. Also, the center supports are only an inch thick, and at the platform hight for this bed thats' too thin to properly support anything. Also, the threading in thehardware is crap and so the supports don't tighten to the slats tightly at all adding to the overal weakness of the bed.
I tried to contact , but they said tey couldn't help me. I tried contacting the manufacturer and they refused to help me even though they said it was within warranty. They said had to contact them for me. They suggested I dispute the charge on my card rather than just send me new slats. Worst customer service expeirence ever between the manufacturer and .
Now I'm going to find a new set of slats for this bed and do the repairs myself. I really shouldn't have to though and that just pisses me off.
