I bought this to replace a small pedestal vanity in my guest bathroom. This is a tremendous upgrade over the pedestal vanity.
PRODUCT
The quality of the workmanship is very high. This looks like a piece of furniture. The woodworking is very detailed and construction seems top notch.
Both the drawer and the cabinet door have a "soft close" mechanism that allows them to shut without slamming. This is a nice attention to detail that you won't find on most vanities.
The first vanity that I received had a small blemish on the door- an area of about 1" by 1mm where the coloring was yellow instead of red. I informed and they sent me a new vanity overnight. Considering this thing weighs close to 100 pounds, I'm quite impressed! Make sure to closely inspect the product upon receipt.
INSTALLATION
You need to accompany this purchase with a sink basin. I bought the Danze DC026018WH 24-Inch Circtangular China Pedestal Lavatory Basin, White. Placing the basin against the wall was relatively straightforward. There are some built in leveling "feet" on each corner of the vanity that allow you to get it fully level and solid on your flooring. You then drill holes for the pipes/drains and then push the vanity against the wall. The vanity is fastened to the wall with two screws that go into a metal wall anchor.
Once I had the vanity against the wall and fastened, I used adhesive caulk to fasten the basin. Once I had all the plumbing done, I simply caulked around the top and sides of the basin and vanity to close off the small gap between the wall and the product.
OVERALL
See the attached pictures for a before/after of my bathroom. My wife and I think the upgrade looks great and we're happy that we chose this product as part of our project.
