The first item from the Hillsdale Wilshire collection that I ordered was the Mule chest. It was so lovely, I decided to order more. At this point, in addition to the mule chest, we own a pair of end tables ,the TV console, a bedside table, and two bookshelves and the dining table as well. All of the pieces are simply lovely and beautifully made.
The table is no exception! It's picture doesn't really do it justice. The top is a gorgeous warm shade of maple and perfectly distressed. The sides and legs are a lovely antique white, and the spiral pattern on the legs really stands out and gives the table a distinctive style. As with all of the other Hillsdale Wilshire pieces, the item was incredibly easy to assemble and each piece was perfect. Not a nick nor a scratch anywhere at all. With all of the pieces I have ordered, not a single premade hole was even slightly off, not a single screw, nut or bolt was ever missing. Not a single item had the slightest defect. Everything was absolutely perfect.
All of the wood is heavy duty, solid, and top quality. The workmanship that went into this table really stands out. The table also comes with an extra leaf that allows the top to be extended to seat up to 10 people. The leaf is conveniently stored right underneath the table top with an ingenious system so it's neatly out of the way when not in use.
I highly, highly recommend any and all of the Hillsdale Wilshire pieces. These are stunning items that will last a lifetime and be passed along to the next generation.
