This is the perfect mattress for someone with no back problems, who likes a really "squishy" mattress that you just sink into. If you need a more supportive mattress, this bed will probably cause you aches and pains- it's squishiness seemed to let my hips sink in too much which threw my spinal alignment off...I woke up with a very sore back and hips. It does take the pressure points away however, and I did like that aspect of it. I think what I might do is purchase a quality interspring or air mattress and then add their foam topper on top, because I did like the way that it took the pressure points away, but I need more support underneith. While not really comfortable for side sleeping (for those with sensitive backs), I did find that laying on my back felt pretty good, so if you're a back sleeper you might like it. (unfortunately I can't sleep on my back) The materials seemed to be of good quality I suppose, and the mattress did expand properly in a short matter of hours. (althought there is a lingering chemically smell that begins to dissapate after a few days) So mixed results, but the bottom line is that I can't sleep on it, so for now I'm using my old Aerobed standby until I get something else. But who knows, it could be someone else's perfect bed.
