I'd give anything to have my old memory foam mattress back, even though it was sagging in the middle (I had it for 11 years) and sometimes felt too warm. It was TOO firm, so I thought I'd switch back to an innerspring style.
I've been sleeping on this Sealy mattress (and new box spring also) about 3 months. When I tested mattresses in person at the store, they had the mattresses on solid platforms. In my home I have it on a well-braced metal bed frame, which has more "give" to it than a platform. I'm short (5'4") and with this 12" thick mattress being on a thick box spring also, and then the height of the bed frame - I almost need a step stool to get into bed at night.
Then this Sealy, not being quite firm enough, feels like I'm sleeping on a boat. Whenever I turn over, it rocks side-to-side for a couple seconds. If I get too close to the edge, the coils make strange "boinking" noises. It IS a little too soft for me, but it also molds to my body, and is comfortable IF I don't move around much.
If you are looking for a softer mattress, you will probably love this. I don't. Plush mattresses are the "lower middle" of the firmness grades. There's pillow top (the softest), plush, firm, and extra firm. I would have been happier choosing "firm" but it's too late now.
Otherwise, this mattress looks very upscale and is made very well. It has rugged lifting handles on the sides of the mattress and I have no trouble rotating the mattress around alone. I have no doubt it will last 10 years (non-prorated warranty) because the coils are made of titanium.
