  I actually got this mattress for the guest room - we got a new pillow top mattress last year. But I slept on this one for almost a week so I could do an informed review.
  1. Mattress was delivered right to the door by an independent shipper and delivery guy actually brought into house for me. Great service because box is heavy.
  2. The BOX - I didn't measure the box and I should have before I got rid of it. Imagine taking a queen size mattress and folding it in half and then in half again. That was about the size of the box, maybe even smaller. I thought 'there is no way a good quality mattress is coming out of that box after being stuffed into it.' I was wrong.
  WARNING: Be very careful opening the box. That mattress is compressed in there. Once the box is off, the mattress is vacumn packed in a plastic wrapping and especially be careful when getting that wtrap off not to cut the mattress.
  So you get the plastic wrap off and out pops a queen size mattress - literally pops. I could not believe the mattress compressed down like it did.
  3. It actually unfolded very well and I was able to sleep on it the first night. It laid almost perfectly flat and just got better over the next few days. I have a problem with odors and was worried about this but it wasn't too bad even the first night and was totally gone by the third night. It was a slight "rubbery" smell.
  4. The mattress expanded to its full 12 inches in thickness immediately and I had no problem fitting my mattress protector and sheets on it.
  5. I am not used to such a firm mattress. I do have fibromyalgia and have to say that when first going to bed each night the mattress was firm enough to be painful on my fibro pressure points. BUT - and this is a big one - once I got to sleep, I did much less shifting around during sleep and I woke up feeling GREAT. The mattress conformed to my body (it just didn't happen as quickly as I might have wished) and really cushioned and supported.
  6. I used to have a memory foam pillow (for a very short time). I got rid of it because it retained my body heat and made my head feel like it was in a sauna. So I was leery about getting a memory foam mattress. But I had no problem with heat retention on this mattress. I stayed at a comfortable temperature all night.
  So, all in all, great mattress. I wish I could see them put it in the box, though. Quite amazing.
