I had been searching for a bunk bed this style and found them to start at around $1k. I kept searching and found this one with another company at $800 so when I found it on for a much lower price, I jumped on it. It's a nice looking bed and pretty easy to put together, but I feel the quality of wood is a little weak. Already a 6 year old stepped on a self and the wood broke at the screws. The opening on the top bunk from the ladder is very small (and my 5 year old is skinny) so it's a little hard for her to go up and down. Also the head space for the bottom bunk is low and my 20 month old hits her head a lot.
Over all, it looks nice and my daughters love it. I'm glad we got it and we got what we paid for...beds with some perks, but a couple flaws. :)
